This petition calls on our nation's leaders to begin this brave move to help our country both by creating many jobs, keeping our power to the nation's houses and businesses, and beautify America. Let's do as President Dwight D. Eisenhower, who championed and signed the bill that authorized the Interstate Highway System in 1956.
Why is this important?
There is one problem that causes untold problems in so many parts of our country. Hurricanes, and many other storms cause our utility lines to fail because of trees falling, telephone poles falling. It is outdated that in 2011, we still have not buried our utility lines.
