Butane Gas Tanks in San Pedro

PLEASE TELL THE STATE LANDS COMMISSION: to complete a "Comprehensive Risk Analysis" to determine that the operation is "safe" for its location. Also, for the State Lands Commission to establish that any disastrous event stemming from this site is insured commensurate with the potential resulting damages.

Why is this important?

Twenty-five million gallons of highly explosive butane gas (three-mile blast radius) is being stored by Plains All American Pipeline /Rancho LPG LLC on the back doorsteps of neighborhoods, schools, and shopping centers, in the LA Harbor Area. The tanks were built in 1973 "without permitting" and sit within mere feet of the Palos Verdes Fault (potential earthquake magnitude 7.3). They would not be sited there today with the knowledge we have gained since 1973. Thank you for signing this petition!
