Campaign finance reform has been getting a great deal of national attention, and it is time to start pushing for solutions on all levels of government. Local candidates can show their support by taking the pledge to fix democracy, and rejecting money from big corporations and the fossil fuel industry.
Why is this important?
As a resident of California, I know that the state of our democracy affects us all. The priority corporate interests have taken over the well-being of citizens illustrates the crisis we are in. Only by uniting and demanding change will we be able to see progress.
