California Teachers For Prop 46—Patient Safety
California Teachers who aren't afraid to stand up and vote YES on Prop 46 for Patient Safety.
Why is this important?
PLEASE—ONLY SIGN IF YOU ARE A CALIFORNIA TEACHER!
The LEADERS of the California Teachers Association recently came out as opposed to Prop 46 for patient safety, a decision they made without asking all of its members.
This petition is meant to gather up the support of ALL California Teachers, not just the leaders of the CTA, and come up with a stalwart group of educators, who wish to keep patients safe in California.
It is also meant to show the leaders of the CTA and all California voters, that the leaders of organizations don't always speak for the members, unless all the members have had a chance to voice their own opinions as well. The opposition is already advertising that "TEACHERS are against Prop 46," and that's simply not true.
California teacher, Tammy Smick, lost her son to medical negligence. She has already gathered a large group of teacher support. We hope if you're a teacher, you'll join her! You can find more about her story here: https://www.yeson46.org/stories/alex-smick/
