Why is this important?
After uniformed police in Rhialto, CA wore body cameras, instances of complaints against the department dropped dramatically along with accounts of use of force.
With all the recent and tragic uses of force against civilians by police, it would serve us as a nation to equip our uniformed law enforcement officials with the means to record interactions with the public. This both dissuades civilians from provoking police, and protects civilians from undue use of force.
