Campaign Finance Constitutional Amendment

We the People request a Constitutional Amendment to cap private funding in federal and state elections to $100 per individual or entity. All private donations would be Public Information to the citizenry of the United States. This Amendment would also provide Equal and Free access to Public radio and TV so all political candidates can share their Message to We the People.

Why is this important?

With all the secrecy and big money surrounding political campaigns, our government officials are heavily influenced by outside interests. If a lobbyist, private citizen, or corporation can donate millions of dollars to get a candidate elected, aren't you worried they want something in return for that cash? As a result, we mostly get policies that are good for the big money donors but not what the majority of Americans think is best for the country. A constitutional amendment can end the unfair influence of private money in state and federal elections, and can provide candidates free and equal access to public television and radio to make campaigns about the issues and facts and not about the special interests.
