An amendment to the constitution outlawing private contributions to political campaigns while instituting public financing thru taxpayer funding in equal amounts to all candidates lawfully qualified to run for a particular office.
Why is this important?
The only way to put an end to the corrupting influence of corporate and special interest money is to outlaw private contributions to political campaigns.All elections should be publically financed with taxpayer money.Equal amounts to all official candidates with no candidate permitted to use their own resources.This would make all participants free to serve the needs of the people rather than the wealthiest contributer.None would have an advantage financially and could concentrate on the issues important to the country.
