Campaign Finance Reform
We urge the South Carolina State Legislature to join numerous other states and hundreds of local communities that have resolved in favor of an amendment to the U. S. Constitution that
(a) overturns the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission and establishes that campaign contributions by corporations may be prohibited by a political body at any level of government in which the election occurs;
(b) establishes that any level of government may impose appropriate limits on campaign contributions for its elections from any source and/or institute a system of public funding for election campaigns.

Why is this important?
It's about getting the special interest tmoney out of elections. It affects all of us because our politicians end up being bought instead of fairly elected.
