The fundamental corruption of our government will not be ended until we pass meaningful campaign finance reform. To this end, all federal campaigns should be federally financed to the exclusion of all other forms of financing, including the use of the candidate's personal assets.
Why is this important?
Even if our voter participation was aggressively sought and our votes properly tabulated, they are made virtually meaningless by the disproportionate Influence that lobbyists and big money donors have in both financing exorbitantly expensive campaigns and demanding results for their investment.
