We, the people, desirous of a truly representative government of, for and by the people, petition for total campaign finance reform. This calls for public funded elections, with no money coming from special interest groups or lobbyists.
Why is this important?
Campaign finance reform would ensure that money will not "buy" an election. All candidates would operate from an equal playing field, with no one "owing" favors to any special interest group or corporation.
