We support campaign integrity and the imposition of sanctions against any political candidate and their campaign for deceiving the public, including about their opponent.
Why is this important?
I do not think I am the only one who is tired of candidates lying about one another or other campaign issues to the point that voters often do not know what is truth. I would like to see more accountability and sanctions for public falsehoods. For example, we could have a non-partisan watchdog organization impose large public fines for false statements, with the revenue to be used for campaing reform..
