Campaign Phone Calls Need Regulation
Congress must pass a campaign call database reform act requiring political campaigns to manage their databases and allow citizens to remove their names from campaign call lists to stop campaign phones to private citizens when they been asked to be removed from call lists.
Why is this important?
I have received 3 phone calls a week for the last 8 weeks from my local Democratic campaign office. I can't imagine what it must be like if in a swing state! The calls border harassment when you've asked to be removed, but continue to receive calls. According to the office official, there are multi-databases with my information and no way to be removed from them. We need a federal law mandating campaign's manage their databases, and like with the unsubscribe option on campaign emails, remove yourself from these phone calls.
