Campaign reform
As citizens of the United States, we hereby call on our government to institute a reform of campaign financing regulations so that the vast majority of federal election campaign costs are borne by the government and paid for by the tax payers. No campaign donations should be allowed from business entities and campaign donations from individuals should be limited to a maximum of $1,000.00.
Why is this important?
Campaign reform should be instituted to severely restrict donations from corporate entities and the wealthy. In order to return the government to the will of the people, reasonable and appropriate financing of political campaigns should be accomplished primarily through the government and be borne by the taxpayers. A very limited donation from private individuals, (not business entities) should be allowed but limited to $1,000. per person maximum.
