Congress should substitute the word "Canada" for the word "God" in the American Pledge of Allegiance.
Why is this important?
Back in the "red-scare fifties", Congress added "under God" to the American Pledge of Allegiance. In order to bring reality back to the Pledge, Congress should substitute the word "Canada" for the word "God". I could then honestly recite the Pledge of Allegiance at public meetings without feeling like a hypocrite.
