Cancel Capstone 2020-2021

The seniors this year are at an incredible disadvantage regarding the Capstone project. Not only will we lose access to many resources needed for the project, we will also not receive in-person communication from peers and teachers which is a very essential part of completing the project. Many students do not learn well through virtual teaching as it is and the Capstone Project is already a very stressful project to complete. It will be much more difficult for many seniors considering the majority of us, as of now, will not be in a school environment where we would have the access to mentors and resources that students in the past have received. It also is NOT a North Carolina state graduation requirement! Many seniors have already faced so many losses. We will not get our “first last day” of school and may miss out on the many memorable Friday night football games. And if worse comes to worse, we may not even get the popular “Senior Skip Day”, prom, and graduation which are all very important events that make Senior Year so unforgettable!
