Cannabis for Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's Disease treatment

Chemicals found in cannabis could prove an effective treatment for the inflammatory bowel diseases Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's Disease.
Laboratory tests have shown that two compounds found in the cannabis plant - the cannabinoids THC and cannabidiol - interact with the body's system that controls gut function. Even if you do not agree with this, at least allow the people to vote on the issue. After all, we are still living in a democracy.

Why is this important?

I currently suffer from Ulcerative Colitis and having traveled to places like Colorado and Washington, have been able to legally treat my disease with medical marijuana, edibles, and oils. It was amazing to have something that is natural provide more relief from my symptoms, than the 30 plus prescribed medications that I take every day. Please allow us to have access to our medicine and to use cannabis as responsible adults.
