On Aug. 26 ABC news Channel 6 program "Vacations from Hell" warned of the danger from Carbon monoxide in public buildings- hotel rooms. A man and woman died in a Best Western hotel room from carbon monoxide poison. The room had recently been renovated and did not contain a carbon monoxide detector. The medical examiner drew their blood and never tested it. 40 days later a woman and child were put in the same room. The woman went into a coma and the young boy died. The people in the room directly above the poison room got sick. Our representatives must pass a law for mandatory carbon monoxide detectors in all public buildings nationwide- including hotel rooms and schools. It is not mandatory in Pennsylvania. The Philadelphia schools have ancient furnaces that cannot be regulated- potential carbon monoxide poison.
Why is this important?
Members of my family travel for business and pleasure. Would our representatives like to prevent themselves as well as their family members dying from carbon monoxide poison?
