Censure of Trump for impugning Senator McCain
President Trump's derisive comments over disagreements impugn Senator McCain's character and integrity and are particularly unseemly for an elected official whose duty is to work with Congress. We call on the Senate to pass a resolution of censure against President Trump for recent comments against Senator John McCain.
Why is this important?
Senator John McCain has served his country throughout his life and deserves to be treated with respect, regardless of whether we agree with particular viewpoints. The Senate has rules against impugning a Senator; they should demand the same conduct from the President.
