Census Data In Danger

The census provides valuable information and statistics for the economy, research, and financial planning for cities and states. The current House Appropriations bill wants to eliminate funding for census data. Is that the sort of country we want to live in? Why would you not want to have the best information available on from which to make the best informed decisions for the populace? This is madness, please let the House know we need census data to make informed decisions.

Why is this important?

The current House Appropriations Bill eliminates the Economic Census, which measures the health of our economy. It terminates the American Community Survey, which produces the social and demographic information that monitors the impact of economic trends on communities throughout the country.
