Cessation of Senior Prank

Over the years, the "Senior Prank" has had its original moments, but no longer. In recent years, such a prank has caused damage to cars (plastic wrapping), damage to schools (water bombs) and most recently, caused the disruption of traffic in an already congested area - without the supervision of police or consideration to the operation of school, both very dangerous scenarios.

When these actions are conducted without proper adult supervision, we are ceding too much power to the students. As these events have escalated, it is obvious that they are getting out of control and as such, must be ceased.

It was also obvious that several students who participated in the most recent prank are in a dangerous disciplinary position and should have been advised that their participation put their current status at risk.

If the students wish to conduct such a prank, they will need to do so with penalties appropriate to the task and must accept such responsibilities in trade for their actions.

Why is this important?

The most recent senior "prank" was ill-timed, ill-planned and without the supervision of police, extremely dangerous to the Spotswood High School community. This "prank" should be the last of its kind that is condoned by the school administration.
