Right now, 100% disabled veterans status is federally protected after a period of 20 years. Please change that to 10 years.
Why is this important?
It is sad that after 10 years as a 100% disabled veteran, the VA can strip away that status. Most veterans are afraid to even volunteer for that reason. It is difficult to go back into the workforce after a period of 10 years of inactivity. So please give federal protection for 100% disabled veterans status, after a period of 10 years of being 100%, instead of the 20 that exists now, barring fraud.
