Every person running for political office should receive a designated amount of money from public funds derived from taxes.
This would eliminate the need for candidates having to spend their valuable time and let them do the job they were elected to do. It would also limit influence of the wealthy in elections we have now.
Why is this important?
This would help restore our democracy which has been falling apart due to the influence of the very rich and corporations! It would also free up time for candidates to do the job they were elected to do!
