Resolved, that The Congress take action to enable the Federal Government to introduce all new and additional money into the economy, ending the present practice of allowing privately owned banks to issue all new money into the economy.
Why is this important?
Under the constitution the Congress is responsible for the nation's monetary system. The last major change was in Dec, 1913, almost 100 years ago. Executive action has removed gold and silver backing, starting the era of fiat money. Fundamental changes are needed in the monetary system to accommodate this era of fiat money. Specifically, fiat money should not be printed by the federal government then given to privately owned, for profit organizations to distribute into the economy.
