At the age of 18, you are considered an adult legally, but there are still things 18-year-old's cannot legally do, such as drink an alcoholic beverage or run for the position of president.
Why is this important?
This petition is to give the basic adult rights to adults of all age groups, instead of certain rights starting at certain ages. I have had the dream of running for president for many years now, but since the minimum age to run is 35 I have had to push it off to 2040, but if the minimum age was the age was the age of an adult (18) than I would be able to run in the 2020 election.
