Change the Texas State Shrub

Our state shrub should reflect our grand state…Currently our state shrub is a Lagerstroemia or Crepe Myrtle which is native to native to the Indian subcontinent, southeast Asia, northern Australia, and parts of Oceania….NOT Texas. This is just silly and we should fix it. Texas Sage, Texas Barometer bush or Leucophyllum frustescens should be our State shrub. Heck, it's already in the (common) name!

Why is this important?

Our state shrub should reflect our State, not a plant from the other side of the world.
