Charge customers 10 cents for each Plastic and /or Paper bags used from any store.
Why is this important?
If people were charged 10 cents for a plastic and /or Paper bag ,they would start bringing their own bags. This would help our landfills, because it takes a long time for one Plastic bag to decompose and most people only use their plastic bags one time. We cut down mill approximately 14 million trees, each year for paper bags.
They have a successful program in California and in Hawaii, why not North Carolina ?
