Child Tax Exemption Limits & Contraception Coverage

This is an issue regarding over-population and the effect on the environment. Humans are VERY rapidly populating the earth like never before in the past. Demand for clean water, global surface temperatures, ozone depletion, consumption of ocean resources, species extinction, CO2 concentrations, deforestation, and global sea levels have all been on the rise over the last century in tandem with population growth. There were approximately 1 Billion people on the earth in 1800. By 1900, there were 2 Billion. By 1950, 3 Billion. By 2000, 6 Billion with a projected 10 Billion by 2050. Look at the math. It took humans tens of thousands of years to reach a population of 1 Billion in 1800. In 100 years, that doubled. Fifty years after that, there were another 1 Billion added. Then, by 2000 it had doubled again. In other words, we will be competing for the earth's finite resources to such a degree that there could be increases in conflicts and wars over those resources, governments could topple into anarchy and civil unrest be rampant with no end in sight. The United States Tax Code does all Americans an injustice by allowing people to continue to take exemptions for every child on their tax returns. I propose that these exemptions be limited to two children. We should not be rewarding people for having more children in light of the horrific future that could await us. This is only a small step to do away with such incentives to procreate ourselves out of existence. We should also require that ALL contraception be available for FREE or at reduced cost and covered by ALL health insurance policies.
