No U. S. governmental body will issue marriage licenses. What is now recognized as a marriage license, will in the future be called a Civil Union. A Civil Union is one between a man and a woman, two women, or two men. <all governmental benefits shall now go to Civil Unions. If the members of a Civil Union wish to get married, they find a church that will perform the ceremony.
Why is this important?
All governmental bodies in the United States should get out of the business of marriage. Only civil unions between one man and one woman, two women, or two men should be recognized.
