Claiming English as our Country's Language

When my grandparents migrated to this country from Italy back in the early 1900's they were given no special privileges. They HAD to learn the language—ENGLISH! Yes, they were able to speak Italian in their homes but when dealing with the public, whether it was private companies or municipality/state personnel, they HAD to speak ENGLISH! One nationality is NOT better than another. Those who migrate to this country SHOULD learn the ENGLISH language. Those who are born in this country SHOULD NOT be forced to learn another language.

Why is this important?

Our forefathers all spoke English and so should everyone who is born in our country or migrates to our country.
