Stop MidTown Center from being a nuisance property.
Why is this important?
Central Seattle Residents Against Violence (CS-RAV) and other residents of the Central District are no longer willing to wait for MidTown Center (on the corner of 23rd Ave and E. Union) to sell in order to feel safe. We would like the owners of the property to address the longstanding issues of neglect that have led to many shootings on and around the property, as well as drug dealing, prostitution and gambling. CS-RAV is asking for four changes.
1. A professional security guard patrolling the property.
2. A high quality security system and signage that informs visitors to the property that the system is operational.
3. Repair broken lights and increase overall illumination of the property at night.
4. Remove barriers to sight in order to discourage criminal activity.
