Seat belts laws are an intrusion by government into the personal lives of citizens; they deny the right to determine one’s own individual personal health-care standard. Until seat belts can be proven 100% effective and safe, no citizen should be forced by law and fear of fines to wear one.
Why is this important?
While using seat belts saves some lives, doing so can injure and kill others. The choice should be up to the individual, not insurance lobbyists and government.
