Climate Change: An Essential Topic of Presidential Debate!
Ms. Crowley,
At the October 16th debate, President Obama and Governor Romney need to present concrete plans for addressing climate change. It is a critical issue that has profound impacts on our future. 80% of Americans believe climate change is happening;
61% say the candidates' positions on climate change will be one of the important issues that will determine their vote for president; 64% say the president and Congress should be doing more about global warming; and 83% say the United States should use more renewable energy resources; and
55 percent want the country to use less coal, oil and gas. We, the American people, deserve a response on this issue.

Why is this important?
Climate change is one of the most critical issues facing the United States, and the world. The Arctic sea ice melt is at record levels and most of our country experienced extreme weather this summer, yet our Presidential candidates are saying little to nothing about how they will address this issue. The time is now. Candy Crowley must ask the candidates tough questions about how they will fight climate change.
