On behalf of all communities where fracking is or will happen, Preserve the New River Valley in Virginia urges the rescinding of the Halliburton "loophole" to the clean water act. Treating water, as the Clean Water Act would have required before 2005, might make fracking too expensive to continue.
Why is this important?
We cant afford 2 billion gallons of water wasted each day by the fracking industry. Our mountains are full of water that will be needed by future generations. We can live without gas but not water.
