Comcast has sent out email stating: "Starting October 1, 2015, your monthly data plan will include 300 GB. We’ll also trial a new “Unlimited Data” option that will give you the choice to purchase unlimited data for $30 per month in addition to your monthly Internet service fee."
We already have unlimited data in our current plans that we already pay very high prices for! Comcast must NOT be allowed to impose additional fees for broadband usage over 300 GB. We are all encouraged to use our wifi instead of data when available, for savings. We all already pay for our wifi. Many of us have streaming services which we also pay for. Comcast claims the average monthly use is under 300GB. Now, suddenly they feel they can therefore charge a premium for anything over than. Stop this! At their already premium prices, we should all be able to CONTINUE to have unlimited broadband.
Why is this important?
Those of us on fixed incomes, or trying to help our children establish themselves, cannot be penalized financially. We seniors are encouraged to live with the times and embrace a tech lifestyle, and when we do, we are hit with more fees!
