Establish an Independent Fiscal Oversight Authority to provide oversight and monitoring of the District's Budget and Fiscal Operations.
Why is this important?
As a taxpayer of Hempstead, I am tired of paying high school taxes for a failing school district. The Hempstead School District has been failing its students for decades...a 37% graduation is malfeasance. This is due to fiscal mismanagement, and lack of accountability. Let's stop this cycle of failure. Our children deserve better!
