Stop gun violence in the United States. Write to your congressional representative and tell him/her to vote in favor of the proesident's proposal on gun control. Save a life, or lives.
Why is this important?
I have not been personally affected by gun violence, but I am sick of seeking news articles about people critically injured and killed by guns. The NRA's explanation that better treatment of mental illness would prevent gun violence is absurd. I support a ban on assault weapons, limits to rounds of ammunition, and background checks on all gun purchases. Everyone should be concerned about this as everyone could be, or already has been, affected by gun violence.
