I agree with doing community service if you live in public housing but I do think being evicted is a bit harsh for punishment especially if you pay your rent every month. I pay my own rent and utilities every month with no help from public housing.
Why is this important?
I am being evicted from public housing because my son and daughter have not completed their community service. I pay $968 a month for rent and I'm being evicted. I have no extra money to move right now. I live from pay check to pay check. Don't get me wrong I am furious with my son for not completing it and I already forwarned him he would have to move if it comes to me being evicted. So he will be moving to Alabama with his dad. My daughter did make up most of her hours last year and then misplaced her paperwork. I can't put her out because she has a 2 yr old. I can't believe you can be put out for this. I rented this house not my kids and I pay my rent every month and their are a lot of problems with my house that have not been addressed but they get my rent every month.
