Georgia is one of the highest ranked states in the nation for obesity, and Atlanta topped the list by the Census Bureau for the largest wealth disparity of any major city. To avoid this status quo, we need to invest in community centers in low income areas where Georgia children can avoid chronic public health problems that include obesity and incarceration. We ask you fund and invest in community centers in low income areas, and stop placing a heavy emphasis on prison funding.
