We respectfully request that the Senate confirm President Obama's appointment of Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
Why is this important?
For the last six years, this bureau has lacked a permanent leader, hamstrung by the Senate's refusal to act on a confirmation. This has impacted the ability of the ATF to enforce firearms laws that are in place, computerize databases of gun owners, and respond to the powerful NRA lobby in Washington. Your senators should be acting in your best interests, not a lobby group.
