To do away with the congressional perks of premium health care and hefty pensions for life because of government service and to require members of Congress to pay into and recieve Social Security and Medicare just like every other citizen.
Why is this important?
We are all affected because we get to pay for these. Congress might not be in such a hurry to cut Social Security and Medicare if they had to rely on them instead of receiving premium health care and fat pensions for life just because they served in Congress. Service should be an honor rather than a profession with lifetime rewards.
