The recent election revealed many problems in the political system. We cannot continue in a gridlock situation particularly when so much is at stake. Congress members should be evaluated on their performance records and get paid accordingly (like teachers, hospitals, and doctors).
Why is this important?
Gridlock congress serves no one. Congress members should only get paid if they pass substantive laws.
