Congress getting it done
Send a message to Congress to start reducing our deficit by reducing some of their perks and entitlements and increasing some of their costs, so that the changes which reduce our entitlements and increase our costs will be easier to accept. In addition, when they sit at the table to carve out comprimise to avoid the fiscal cliff, put aside their personal and political motives and vote for what is truly best for the American people whom they serve.
Why is this important?
I think that the Congress should start with themselves if they want the AMerican people to swallow the bitter medicine that is needed to cure the economy. The changes that are necessary to avoid falling off the fiscal cliff will be hard to accept, but if the legislators start by giving up some of their perks, the American people will fell better about accepting the necessary changes and realize that our Congress may truly interested in the good of the country, not just their own good.
They need to ask"Is this for the good of the majority of the people?" And if so, vote for it. I am tired of all the game playing and self love from this body who is supposed to be governing for us.
