The pressure to cut social security and medicare as well as medicade, would be much more meaningful if congress had some "skin" in the game. The call to cut "my" retirement and health insurance and leave their incredibly robust retirement and healthcare taxpayer paid plans alone, does not seem fair or just.
Why is this important?
If congress had the same medical plan, medicare, and the same retirement supplement plan, social security, their actions and votes in congressional sessions would have more value since it would effect them as well.
