A year into the pandemic, families are drowning. We urge you to ensure that the expansion of the Child Tax Credit is included in the next COVID relief bill as a crucial step in helping parents survive this crisis. Providing monthly checks of up to $300 per child would help ensure millions of children have a roof over their heads and food on the table —-- please pass it without delay.
Why is this important?
Millions of families are months behind on rent and can’t afford to put food on the table. In addition to another stimulus payment of $1,400, Congress is considering giving families up to $3,600 per child, paid out in chunks every month for one year, to help with expenses. Experts say this Kid Cash would lift 5 MILLION children out of poverty!
