Congressional Action -Save the Post Office

Stop the Federal Governments prepayment required from the US Postal Service to fund the Retiree Health Benefit as they have a surplus already. The Postal Service is one of the largest employers of all minorities and one of the most respected institutions in the United States. Don't destroy it.

Why is this important?

Currently, Senate Bill S-1789 was passed and sent to the House. Congress needs to: Refund $50 to $75 billion of overpayments back to the USPS and change the law so we stop requiring the USPS to prefund the Retiree Health Benefit. The USPS employs 550,000 people of which 25 percent are Veterans. Oppose Bill H.R 2309.
