Congressional Benefits

The public servants of the United States Senate and House of Representatives agree to be bound in their own pensions and health care to the same level of care that they pass for the citizens they represent. Further the Congress agrees to have their own salaries and staff and membership benefits cut at the same level that they cut other branches of government.

Why is this important?

Congressional health and pension benefits should be the same as the laws that they pass.
