Congressional Merit Raises

Pay raises for senators and members of the House of Representatives should be decided by the electorate, to be put to the vote every two years. Only the voters should have the right to award pay raises to our elected representatives.

Why is this important?

We, the people who elect our senators and representatives, should be the ones to decide if they get raises or not. We should decide if they have earned their pay, we should decide whether or not they deserve raises.
