Congress should immediately reduce their pay by 20% to show that they really believe everyone has to tighten their belts to help turn the country around.. They should also pledge to work 5 days per week and 11 months each year.
Why is this important?
Before Congress makes any cuts to SSI or Medicare, both programs that they have exempted themselves from, they should lower their pay.
I say this as a Medicare ans SSI recipient.
