We think those members of Congress who vote to shut down the federal government should have their own salaries (paid by the federal government) revoked during the shutdown.
Why is this important?
I want my legislators to take personal responsibility and experience the same consequences of their votes as other citizens. It isn't fair for them to revoke the salaries of their constituents without sharing their plight.
