The insolvency of Medicare and Medicaid has more to do with the unsustainable double digit increases in yearly health care cost; than the increase in recipients receiving care. Let’s do away with a fee for service health care system and have a performance, preventative care for pay system.
Why is this important?
The interwoven fabric of our health care system is fundamentally sound and is simply to large to dismantle and institute a new system. Why not simply limit all health care and prescription drug insurance premiums to the same cost of living increases social security recipients receive. There is more than enough profit in the system to insure all Americans well doing away with preexisting conditions and life time medical caps. It’s not the care we receive, but the strangle hold the health care industry has on Americans. By controlling insurance company rate increases; they would have to keep Americans more healthy to increase their profit margins and control cost. The quickest and easiest way to solve our national health care system is to let the system fix itself.
